Smoke Alert: Light Smoke In Park Due to Green Fire
Smoke Alert: Light Smoke In Park Due to Green Fire
We have improved cellular service within the park with the addition of a Verizon cell repeater. WiFi is available at the Visitor Center and you can use the "hot spot" feature on your cell phone to enable an internet connection with any major carrier.
Be aware that the unusually wet weather created large amounts of new vegetation growth during the winter. An early summer is drying out this vegetation and creating extreme fire danger for the rest of the summer season. The Park may restrict campfires within the park at any time. Visitors are asked to be extra-sensitive and cautious about fire danger. Please do NOT park vehicles on grassy shoulders as heat from catalytic converters can set such materials on fire, both within the Park and anywhere in the State.
Mark your calendars now and plan to attend the McArthur-Burney Falls Heritage Day festivities in 2025! You and for family will be glad you did!
