Nearby Attractions

The Intermountain area of Northern California has a multitude of attractions within easy driving distance of the Park.  From  majestic Mt. Shasta on the North to imposing Mt. Lassen on the South…  from Adin on the East to Whiskeytown Lake on the West, one can spend days, if  not weeks, exploring the natural wonders of north central California  known generally as the Intermountain Area. Click on the image to go to that website.   

Additional Area Recreation

You'll find some of the best fly fishing in the country within a short driving distance from the park. Nearby Hat Creek, Baum Lake, Medicine Lake and the Fall River Valley offer ideal locations for landing a wide variety of fish. Closer to the Park, you'll find Burney Creek and Lake Britton to test your lures. 


The general area is also a great destination for hunting deer, water fowl, quail and turkeys. Be sure to check applicable regulations and licensing requirements.
